The L3Harris CNVD-LR is a clip-on night vision device that mounts in front of a day scope, allowing shooters to use the same optic day or night without re-zeroing. It attaches to a standard Picatinny rail and can also be used with a spotting scope for nighttime observation. It’s optimized for mid-to-long range (2.5×–14×), with effective target identification out to 500+ yards, though performance decreases at higher magnifications. The unit features intuitive controls, including a rear power/gain knob and a top-mounted focus lever, allowing easy operation while staying on the rifle. It’s built from durable aerospace-grade aluminum and polymer, powered by CR123 or AA batteries, and rated to handle recoil up to 7.62 NATO.
