The AN/PEQ-15 (ATPIAL) is a weapon-mounted laser system that provides a visible laser, IR laser, and IR illuminator for use with night vision. It features slaved visible and IR lasers, allowing users to zero the visible laser during the day while maintaining alignment with the IR laser for nighttime use. The illuminator can be adjusted independently to center the beam around the aiming laser. The unit mounts to a standard Picatinny rail and has a low-profile design that works with most optics. It uses flush-mounted windage/elevation adjustments. Controls include a top-mounted selector dial and fire button for easy operation, along with a rear battery compartment that allows battery changes without removing the unit. --Characteristics
